A few small habits make a meaningful difference to how silver jewellery wears over time.
Wear
- Put jewellery on after perfume, lotion and hair products have settled.
- Remove pieces before swimming, bathing or prolonged contact with chlorine, cleaning products or salt water.
- Avoid forcing clasps, chains and settings when they catch.
Store
- Keep jewellery dry when not in use.
- Store pieces separately where possible so surfaces and chains do not rub or tangle.
- A closed pouch or box helps reduce unnecessary exposure to moisture and air.
Clean
- Start with a clean, soft cloth and light pressure.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners on plated, oxidised, stone-set or specially finished pieces unless the product instructions say they are suitable.
- If a piece has stones, enamel, plating or an antique finish, follow the product-specific care guidance where available.
