Jewellery Care

A few small habits make a meaningful difference to how silver jewellery wears over time.

Wear

  • Put jewellery on after perfume, lotion and hair products have settled.
  • Remove pieces before swimming, bathing or prolonged contact with chlorine, cleaning products or salt water.
  • Avoid forcing clasps, chains and settings when they catch.

Store

  • Keep jewellery dry when not in use.
  • Store pieces separately where possible so surfaces and chains do not rub or tangle.
  • A closed pouch or box helps reduce unnecessary exposure to moisture and air.

Clean

  • Start with a clean, soft cloth and light pressure.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners on plated, oxidised, stone-set or specially finished pieces unless the product instructions say they are suitable.
  • If a piece has stones, enamel, plating or an antique finish, follow the product-specific care guidance where available.

If you are unsure how to clean a particular NISO piece, contact us before using a chemical cleaner.
